Biography
Assistant Principal Heber Marquez is a proud product of LAUSD schools including Nueva Vista, Nimitz Middle School, and Bell High School. He earned a B.A. degree and Teaching Credential in Liberal Studies with a Concentration in Language and Literacy from Cal State Long Beach and a MA degree in School Leadership from Cal State Dominguez Hills. Recently he received his Doctoral Degree in School Leadership from USC with a focus on Educational Psychology and research on the importance of self-reflection and love interventions in schools.
His previous experiences include teaching ELD, ELA, and Humanities grades 6-12th. He has also served as an Intervention Coordinator before accepting a position as Assistant Principal at MaCES.
